To date I have had 28 responses to the questionaire, the vast majority want the strip, convenient to all happenings at the hotels. All except four are satisfied with the last of July. Keeping this in mind I have picked the Imperial Palace as our hotel this year.

Of the five hotels on the strip that I talked with, the Imperial Palace has the best rates and is centrally located on mid-strip.

I chose Sunday the 21st of July as the arrival date and Thursday the 25th as the departure date. Please note the room rate with taxes etc. is $45.00 total per night. This rate is per room NOT per person. Anyone wishing to stay longer will pay $65.00 per night for Friday and Saturday and then revert back to $45.00 per night on Sunday.

Those of you flying in can take the airport shuttle to the hotel for around $5.00. You can also take a cab or limo. Anyone wanting a rental car can rent from Budget at the hotel, no airport fees or tax at the hotel, which gives you every third day free. Those of you driving in from the East, South, or Midwest will generally come via Hwy 40 from Oklahoma City or Hwy 70 to I-15 in Utah then South to Las Vegas.

The dam has just recently reopened after 9-11-01 and Hwy 93 from Kingman Arizona is the best route to Vegas off Hwy 40. It takes you right across the dam into Vegas. As I stated in the last newsletter our agenda would be pretty much open this year as all Military is tied up with the war effort. There certainly is plenty to see and do here in and around Vegas and I can assure you, you won't see all hotels in five days.

Dress is casual for most shows and dress is lightweight due to summer heat. If there are any questions you may e-mail me or call.
